Olajubu Emerges As South-West SWAN Patron

The SWAN Zonal Vice-President, Adeboye Ajayi, led chairmen and secretaries of the SWAN Chapters in the South-West to Ado-Ekiti to perform the ceremony.

“We decided to give Asiwaju Oyedeji Olajubu an award for his contributions to sports development in Ekiti and Nigeria as a whole.

“SWAN in the South-West deliberately appointed Olajubu, who is also a certified engineer, as its patron because he is an achiever and a sports lover.

“He is a philanthropist and a sports enthusiast who can help take sports to the next level in the South-West and beyond.

“I am highly delighted to recognise and give an Award of Excellence to Asiwaju Oyedeji Olajubu as the new South-West SWAN Patron for his meritorious services to humanity and to sports development,” Ajayi said.

‎In his remarks while responding, Olajubu thanked the Zonal Vice-President and all SWAN members in the zone for honouring and appointing him as their patron.

He assured them that he would continue to support them financially and morally, as well as with his wealth of experience in sports administration.

The event also featured the presentation of awards to six other notable sports enthusiasts for their outstanding performance in sports.

These are Yemi Owoseni, Olabode Ajayi, Masebinu Adewale, Tosin Oribamise, Fadoju Rotimi and Akintoye Ba‎mise

The SWAN Zonal Vice-President, along with the SWAN Deputy Secretary-General Adewale Joseph, and state chairmen and secretaries presented the awards to them.

‎Oribamise, who spoke on behalf of the awardees, thanked all SWAN members in the South-West zone for recognising her and the others.

“Almighty God would continue to uphold your association,’’ she said.
